DESCRIPTION:PARKING LOCATION \nDue to Fenland Rec Centre events\, Fenlands staff are asking cyclists NOT to park there. \nPlease use the free parking at the train station\, and park at the East End of the lot per the Google Maps coordinates in the link. \nMeet up is at 9:15. \nWe’ll assemble next to our parking location and ride out at NINE THIRTY AM. \n***Important notes about this ride: \n1) The Bow Valley Parkway (Highway 1A) is partially closed to vehicle traffic on weekends May 1st until June 25th\, so cyclists\, other athletes\, and pedestrians have the 1A to themselves UP TO JOHNSTON Canyon. Vehicle traffic is allowed beyond Johnston. \n2) We have various supported ride distance options\, and cyclists are welcome to go beyond those distances\, *knowing that they’re on their own.* \n**Supported Distances for the next couple of weeks: \nBanff to Johnston Canyon and Back is 55k. \nBanff to Castle Junction and back is 65k (Parks Canada) \n3) We will not have Colleen’s vehicle support on this ride\, so please make sure you’re self-sufficient (foot\, hydration\, spare tubes\, etc.).
