From day one. Enbridge has been all in.
Just one year after joining the Tour in 2009, Enbridge stepped up as title sponsor in 2010, and they’ve remained at the heart of the Tour ever since. Year after year, Team Enbridge has led the charge as the top fundraising team, powering everything from sponsorship and logistics to volunteering and team spirit.
Their involvement isn’t just financial. It’s personal. Many of the team’s most dedicated champions like Greg and Diana started as volunteers. And like so many others at Enbridge, they were hooked the moment they saw what this event makes possible.
“I started off on the organizing committee, responsible for corporate donations,” says Greg, an Enbridge employee who’s been involved for over 13 years. “After a year of being involved on the sidelines, I realized, I’ve got to get into this. I’ve now ridden for 10 years on and off, across those 13 years.”
That decision has led to years of powerful memories and lasting impact.
“We’ve changed so many people’s lives — family and friends of mine who have gone through treatment and come out on top. I know, in some small part, this ride and what we do here has contributed to that.”

A Culture of Giving Back
Greg’s journey from committee volunteer to multi-year rider is one of many. Across Enbridge, employees and their families show up year after year.
For Diana, it began as a new hire looking to connect with her community.
“I started at Enbridge in 2011,” she shares. “At that time, I brought my husband as my guest volunteer. And then since then, I’ve had a couple of children, and they’ve also been participating with me.”
What started as a one-time experience quickly became a family tradition.
“The first time I came, it was because as a new employee you want to try everything at least once. And after that, you get hooked by all the energy, meeting new people, and seeing how everyone contributes to the cause.”
Her favourite part?
“Being part of the community and having my family out with me. Just seeing everyone just pouring their heart out into this organization.”

Powered by Passion and People
That sense of shared purpose is what keeps Team Enbridge strong — across roles, departments, and the province. Whether as riders like Greg, or crew like Diana, their team is united by a culture of support and the belief that every role matters.
“I think what rings true for the riders and the volunteers is the passion that they bring to this event,” Diana says. “Everyone comes with smiles, and even when someone is feeling down, there’s others to lift them up.”

This year, the Enbridge Tour Alberta for Cancer raised more than $9.4 million, marking a new high in its 17 year history — and Enbridge was once again the top fundraising team raising over $880,000 alone.
“Back in 2013, the event was much smaller—definitely fewer people,” Greg recalls. “And today, we’ve raised over $9 million—that’s a record.”
“It’s quite the event, and I’m so proud to be a part of it. I can’t wait to be part of it for many more years.”
Why We Tour Alberta.
At the heart of Team Enbridge’s commitment are the stories that hit closest to home — stories of loss, survival, and hope.
“A friend of mine from when I was in grade 4 died two years ago from cancer,” Greg shares. “It came really fast — diagnosed and gone in just two months. And so I ride for more time — for my loved ones that have cancer.”
Diana shares that same sense of purpose. She, like so many others, keeps showing up because this cause brings people together and brings out the best in them.
